This video demonstrates how an air block can lead to a guard crush string.
In the second half of the video we can see that most of these strings can be broken if the defender drops their guard and takes a hit.
This avoids being spirit crushed, but in a lot of situations won’t avoid a following combo.
For example, dropping your guard will avoid being crushed and comboed from Patchouli. But dropping your guard will only avoid being crushed by Sakuya and won’t really avoid a follow up combo.
Once again Yuyuko and Hong are sort of left out because their bullets pretty much suck. And in the case of Yuyuko her air melee attacks are also incredibly slow.
And if you’re wondering why Reimu doesn’t appear in the second section, it’s because her aircrush string is airtight. You can’t intentionally drop your guard against it.
